In my quest for a healthier life for me and my family, I'm trying to cook at home more. The recipes I try have to not only be healthy but they also have to pass my husband's taste test. A healthy life doesn't mean just eating well, it also means having a well balanced life. Working hard and playing hard, so I'll post some of my scrapbooking and coupon stuff that I find. I'm sure I'll post some random stuff as I find things that amuse me and I think other people may find useful.

Polar Bear Plunge 2008 Page
I know it seems like I've been doing a lot of scrapbooking lately, but I'm really enjoying it. Having the program on my computer lets me to work on it while I'm watching TV. Plus I get to relive some old memories and finally do something with the pictures from some of my adventures (other than stick them in a folder in cyberspace). Today's page is one that just made me smile when I stumbled on the pictures in my computer. It's from my second year doing the Polar Bear Plunge, which is ran by the Maryland State Police as a fundraiser for the Special Olympics. If you've never heard of a Polar Bear Plunge before, the idea is that you run into a body of water in the middle of winter somewhere really cold. Bonus points for ice on the water. It's crazy, insane, maybe slightly stupid, but it was for a good cause and was a lot of fun. I wasn't able to convince anyone to run in with me, but I did have my friend there for moral support. She was also kept track of where the blanket was for when I got back out of the water, probably the most important job there :-)
